When you open Internet Options and click the Advanced tab, none of the options may be displayed. This problem occurs if the following key (or some of it's subkeys) are deleted from the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ AdvancedOptions
Follow any of these three methods to get back the missing options.
Method 1
For Windows XP, download and apply this REG. This REG file restores the entire AdvancedOptions key. If you have installed Windows in a different path, edit the REG file with Notepad and update the correct paths (and drive-letter) in the file.
Method 2
Click Start, Run and type this command
regsvr32 /n /i inetcpl.cpl
The missing options are now restored. This method works in Windows 9x systems as well.
